Bow Wow and Soulja Boy - Marco Polo - Bow Wow and Soulja Boy

Bow Wow and Soulja Boy

Marco!!!!!!..... Polo!!!!!! Damn, these fools are clearly running out of ideas. Which fools am I talking about? Who am I? Well this is an Ordinary Joe and I'm talking about the latest summer 'jam' by teen hip hop icon Bow Wow and his guy-friend, Soulja Boy (not that they're anything more than friends). With the death of hip hop being prolonged by Doctors such as Jay-Z, Kanye West, Nas etc, Bow Wow and Mr. Boy have decided to pull the plug on Hip Hop's life support... it should die any day now.

Bow Wow's song "Marco Polo" is so subpar, I wouldn't be surprised if Bow Wow's 'ghost writer' couldn't speak English. In this song, Bow Wow brags about putting 'ice' in his G-Shock. The rest of the song was him simply rhyming words together. So he called in the reigning king of senseless rhymes Soulja Boy to take care of the second verse of the song. This robot sounding rapper's job was probably to gain the attention of the D average youthful population of the world with his record breaking simplicity to a relatively simple beat. "Sustaining ignorance is hard work" I borrowed that line from a scene of Law and Order. I guess Soulja Boy deserves every cheque he makes.

It's sad that I struggled to find anything positive to say, hopefully that'll change…Peace.

Ok Ordinary Joe I have to agree with you on this one. The ideas are running out, they are now making songs out of desperation. I just heard the song a few minutes ago and I must say the collaboration was too terrible. Now I finally understand how some of the veteran Rappers and Hip Hop artists feel toward these young upcoming artists. The song had no meaning at all. Don't get me wrong though, I like them because they are young and they are doing their 'thing', but hip hop is definitely about to die any second now. That's my 2 cents, I wanna elaborate more but I dont have the time. tehee lol. PEACE
