Ludacris and Obama

Hillary hated on you, so that bitch is irrelevant

Yea, it's one of the Ordinary Joes here to talk about one of the latest industry controversies, which happens to be a big politics controversy too. How lucky are we??

Rapper Ludacris met Presidential Candidate Barack Obama back in 2006. I guess it was a very impressionable experience, because Ludacris has confessed his undeniable support for the candidate through a freestyle rap song, while simultaneously disrespecting Hillary Clinton, Jesse Jackson, Presidential Candidate John Mccain and current President George Bush. This happened a little while ago, but the new news is that Obama has decided to denounce Ludacris. I feel the need to pop in the fact that Obama has said that he listens to Ludacris on his i-pod, which would mean he knows what Ludacris' style of rapping is and also his use of coarse language. Believe me I'm not taking sides here, the elephant and the donkey are both nice animals, but I think I'm gonna agree with my friend The Young Turks and see this as “Politics, being the game it is...” (For the slow ones, elephant = republican & donkey = democrat)

I hope Senator Obama has the presence of mind to denounce and distance himself from Ludacris

says Yashar Hedayat, Sen. Clinton's former national finance co-chair.

Bill Burton, Obama's campaign spokesman said

As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn't want his daughters or any children exposed to. This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain and, President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.

Now, it is my view that Ludacris went a bit too far with what he said, but it seems this story is getting a little too much airtime and whatever you call the time people spend on the internet reading about it. Judge for yourself, the video is below.
