Kanye West – 808s and Heartbreak – Kanye West

Kanye West

After notifying fans on his blog that he would be moving up the release date for his fourth album, “808s and Heartbreak”, Kanye West put to bed any hopes of another face-off between him and Rapper 50 Cent this December. West stated "I finished the album and I felt like moving up the date, I want yall to hear it as soon as possible.” All fans knew was that it would drop before the originally planned date of December 16.

After performing “Swagger Like Us”, West announced on Friday night, in Los Angeles at T.I.’s MySpace-sponsored show, that the album would now be released on November 25. Then he jumped into a verse, of what he confirmed as the album’s second single “Heartless”.

The album’s first single, “Love Lockdown” shot to the top of the i-Tunes charts immediately after becoming available on the site. The song sold 402,000 digital downloads in two weeks, landing it at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
