Barack Obama

Barack Obama was nominated President-Elect of the United States of America, through the support of millions of Americans. Moreover though, he had the support of a very large portion of the Music Industry.

With P Diddy yelling "Vote Obama" during this season of "Making the Band" and during his YouTube "Diddy Obama Blog!"; Jay-Z showing his support through free performances at Obama Rallies; Nas recording a Pro-Obama song entitled "Election Night"; and Mary J. Blige singing soulfully on College Campuses, while echoing the message of Voter Awareness, the artists covered every aspect of the spectrum of young first time voters out there.

While artsits like the rock band Fall Out Boy and British Singer Joss Stone didn't support any one candidate they were part of that big movement that got the youth of America energized in a way that has never been seen before.

President-Elect Barack Obama will be inaugurated in January with a new administration. The Ordinary Joe Blog congratulates him on his victor, and wishes the best for the country.
