Josiah Leming

Josiah Leming is the second non-Top 24 American Idol contestant to make a Billboard Chart (second only to William Hung). His EP, “Angels Undercover” debuted at #26 on the Top Seekers Chart.

Leming auditioned for idol during its seventh season, and made the cut for Hollywood. However, he was surprisingly cut before the top 24. Hailing from Tennessee, yet, singing in a British accent, this singer’s intriguing sound draws in a wide range of listeners. Citing music powerhouses like Coldplay, AC/DC and Queen as his influences on his MySpace page, Josiah Leming has big shoes to fill but is well on his way to doing just that. Amazing ballads like “Arctic Outcry Wind”, “Angels Undercover” and “To Run” exhibit soulful lyrics of a young person that has lived through some of life’s most difficult experiences.

Leming experienced some controversy this year as it was rumored he would not be able to release his upcoming Warner Brothers album because Simon Fuller and American Idol prefer (…force?) contestants to get deals with Sony/BMG. It seems though, that the set is still up for release with no complications.
